Took a chance and made a 5 gal. batch of Pumpkin Spice Ale. Ingredients included Pale Ale malt, 3 other specialty malts, 5 lbs. of canned pumpkin, 5 different spices, brown sugar and UK Golding hops. Aroma was fantastic with mild notes of ginger, cinnamon and brown sugar. The wort tasted just as good as it's aroma with a really nice pumpkin flavor without the spices overpowering the overall profile. This little treat will be ready in early October!
